RESOLUTION ADOPTING HAVERHILL TOWNSHIP SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE and FEE SCHEDULE

 

 

 

WHEREAS, the Haverhill Township Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on a proposed Haverhill Township Subdivision Ordinance on Tuesday, August 13, 2002 at 7:30 PM in the Haverhill Township Hall.

 

            WHEREAS, the Haverhill Town Board of Supervisors conducted a public hearing on a proposed Haverhill Township Subdivision Ordinance on Wednesday, August 21, 2002 at 8:00 PM in the Haverhill Township Hall.

 

            WHEREAS, the notices of hearing including the purpose of the meeting has been duly provided according to law, and

 

            Supervisor Ben Hain offered the following Resolution, which was seconded by Supervisor Karl “Lance” Flores and adopted by a 3 yes votes and 0 no votes.

 

            BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDAINED as follows:

 

1.               That the proposed Haverhill Township Subdivision Ordinance is hereby adopted.

 

2.               That the Haverhill Township fee schedule is the fee schedule as adopted by the Township Cooperative Planning Association.

 

3.                That in lieu of printing and publishing verbatim of the entire Ordinances in the legal newspaper for the publication of Haverhill Township notices, etc., the following summary shall be published in lieu thereof:

 

“An ordinance setting forth the minimum requirements deemed necessary to insure and protect the health, safety and welfare of the public.  More specifically, the provisions of this ordinance are designed to: Emphasize farmland preservation; Assure that to the maximum extend possible, any lands developed will be for the best possible use of the entire township with adequate protection against deterioration and obsolescence; Assure that effective protection is given to the natural resources of the community, especially ground water and surface waters, air quality, noise and visual pollutants; Use quality design standards for any subdivision allowed; Secure the rights of the township residents with respect to public to public lands and waters; Improve land records by the establishment of standards for surveys and plats; Minimize governmental operating and maintenance costs.”

 

“Also an Ordinance establishing fees for implementation of the Subdivision Ordinance.”

 

4.               That copies of the Ordinances shall be filed with the Haverhill Township Clerk, that copies shall be placed on file with the County Law Library, and copies mailed to each township and city bordering and adjoining Haverhill Township, and the originals recorded in the Haverhill Township Ordinance Book as well as with the Olmsted County Recorder. 

 

5.               The effective date of both Ordinances is August 21, 2002 following the publication, posting and recording as provided by law.
